I'd heard that, when in doubt while traveling, head for a Chinese restaurant. This is more Thai-Vietnamise, and it was a refreshing change from the usual Provencal food (which we do love). What Alain Gros doesn't like about La Perle d'Asie:
This is really a two a half rather than a three. The food is just ok and pretty much the same as almost all the other French/Asian restaurants that we keep trying in the hope of being delightfully surprised.
