we were on a motorcycle tour and spent 2 nights in burgos and found el trassiego randomly exploring during the city. we asked a waiter whether there was an English menu and he went and found the owner who spoke well English and spent time explaining to us the menu. the meal was probably the best we had during our tour and would certainly recommend that they check the place for themselves. We were here last week and ordered carrillera de ternera and it was great!!! Today we came back and ordered the same thing and it came with cold mashed potatoes. They tried to say that it was supposed to be a contrast between hot and cold.... So you cooked the potatoes, let them get cold and then placed the meat on top??? Doesn 't make sense.
