However, consistent service issues and disappointing meal preparations detract from the experience. Reservations can be challenging, with prime times often unavailable. I had an amazing experience celebrating my birthday at Ronin. The non-alcoholic drink menu had a surprisingly wide variety of options, which was perfect for my younger sisters. Our server, Chelsea, was exceptional and very knowledgeable about the drinks and menu. Ronin has a unique atmosphere and a great story behind their concept in Bryan. They prioritize quality above all else. We will definitely be returning!
First line their reservation options are terrible. we have booked a reservation per week in advance and the only time available was 9:15 o'clock. I felt a bit uncomfortable when they were sitting outside than it was. more
This is such a jewel in the inner city of bryan. fresh, local fabulous eating with friendly and accommodating staff and a large and varied cocktail/drink menu. that's my new visit for visitors. tipp: make reservations early, the word begins to go.
My partner and I were in the area and decided to celebrate our anniversary, so I made a reservation at this restaurant. We were seated promptly, but it took a while for our server to come to our table, and we eventually had to ask for assistance. Interestingly, other tables that arrived after us were attended to right away. Because of this delay, we missed out on happy hour. When I asked about a possible discount due to the service mishap, the server said she would check on it. We did receive a discount, but only when the bill arrived. The server seemed indifferent and was not very engaging. We had chosen this restaurant based on its positive reviews, but unfortunately, the experience fell short of our expectations for such a special occasion. On the positive side, the food was delicious. We enjoyed the chicken fried steak, blackened shrimp pasta, and esquites.
The restaurant offered a limited selection of entrees, with only 3 out of 5 options recommended by the server. I ordered the skirt steak, which came with just two small pieces of roasted okra and a modest portion of steak. The chicken fried steak, on the other hand, was well-served with a generous helping of potatoes and vegetables. The pompano was flavorful, but it was presented whole. The cocktails were enjoyable; however, the dessert options were rather unappealing. We decided to share two ice cream and peach desserts among five people, but they arrived in unevenly sized bowls without any extra plates. While the servers were polite, the overall attitude of the staff was not particularly warm. Our family found the experience disappointing, especially given the positive reviews we had heard about Ronin.
