Nestled in Bushwick, this cozy, bar‑style Sichuan spot delivers bold flavors—standout dumplings, cauliflower, pork and a signature three‑pepper chicken—alongside well-mixed cocktails, a bargain happy hour and a memorable fortune cookie. Friendly, attentive service and a chill atmosphere make it a great date‑night or group option. Caveats: portions can be small, spice is often milder than advertised, and some dishes have been reported overly salty. Still, vibrant flavors and a welcoming vibe make it worth a visit.
Wow, the Sichuan flavors are incredible! The food is fantastic; I really enjoyed the dumplings, cauliflower, and pork. This cozy spot has a welcoming bar vibe. Definitely worth a visit!
Really fantastic place. Well mixed cocktails, delicious food, chill vibe and free fortune cookie to wrap things up. App: smashed cucumbers. They were super crispy but had been marinating in chili oil and had plenty of garlic. Delicious. Main:. Three pepper chicken. Signature dish for a reason. Can't go wrong with this one. Great spice without too much heat. Drink: Rye this one I loved but know what you're ordering. It's kind of like a smokey spicey Manhattan. Very boozy. If it's your bag it hits the spot. Staff was friendly and attentive. Will be back!
If you’re a fan of authentic Sichuan cuisine, go for the extra spicy option; even then, it’s not extremely spicy. The portion sizes are a bit disappointing, as shown in the pictures. Overall, though, it was still a decent meal! The fortune cookie was exceptional—possibly the best I’ve ever had. The atmosphere of the restaurant was incredibly cozy. If you’re not concerned about time or distance, I would recommend heading to Chinatown for a more authentic experience for your $18 entrée.
We ordered several items to share family-style, and everything was fantastic. The happy hour deal with beer and dumplings for $10 is a great bargain, and the dumplings were outstanding.
If you enjoy authentic Sichuan cuisine, give the spicy options at General Deb's a try; they're not as hot as you might expect. The portion sizes could be improved, as seen in the pictures. Overall, it was not a bad meal! The fortune cookie was fantastic—possibly the best I've ever had. The atmosphere was really cozy. If time and distance aren’t concerns, you might want to take your $18 entrée to Chinatown for a more intense experience.
