Amoy Restaurant presents a mixed reputation among diners, with reviews highlighting both commendable meals and frustrating service. While many patrons enjoy the flavorful dishes like crispy chicken and prawn chow mein, others recount experiences with cold, unsatisfactory food and unresponsive customer service. Concerns about delivery delays and mishandled orders further cloud its standing. Despite some patrons praising the restaurant for its prompt service and delicious food, others express disappointment, particularly with the environment and payment options. Ultimately, Amoy offers potential for great meals but appears to grapple with inconsistencies in service quality.

Was Bunny King at Amoy a mag?
My local Chinese is closed on a Monday so I ventured further out and found Amoy. Situated in the none too salubrious district of Great Hollands, this Chinese is situated opposite a chippy and next to a burger/pizza outlet. It was quiet inside and I was served promptly. The food came very swiftly within 5 minutes, and it was tasty too. The egg fried rice was very good light, fluffy and separate. My main was the crispy... View all feedback.
What Kayleigh H dislikes about Amoy:
I ordered a takeaway for £60.00 and it arrived late and cold. When I called to complain about the disgusting food and requested that it be recooked and hot, I was told to use my microwave to reheat it because they were busy. When ordering takeaway, I expect it to be delivered on time, warm, and properly cooked, not raw. View all feedback.

The takeout I ordered was cold, flavorless, and the soup was thin like water. When I called to complain, the woman on the phone said she was cold too, which was very rude and unprofessional. She didn't seem to care about my dissatisfaction, even though I had spent £50. I would not recommend wasting your money here.
We opted to try a local restaurant instead of our usual go-to, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The food tasted burnt and dry, leaving us unsatisfied. Most of it ended up in the trash, with the exception of the tasty prawn crackers.

It has a mix of heat and sweetness in the chilli. It 's not a hot dish in terms of spice, but it was pleasing. The portions were hot, fresh and tasty.
This is the first time we have ordered a take away from this place. The ordering online was very easy. The food arrived hot was great quality taste. Very impressed as previous take away less than 2 miles away always sent cold congealed food. Would definitely recommend will use again.
