What Alexandra Herzog dislikes about Basilicum:
we had lunch and the card was not available so that we chose between the offers of the day. summer salad with smoked salmon consisted almost only of green salad. the calf stew was served with chicken and cutlery sauce. the meat was historyless, the vegetables of season crispy while the pasta was not homemade and was banal. good coffee, I pick up the service. A manageable restaurant. well suited if you want to eat something in peace with someone. more if next door the handy rings, but this is the problem of self-profiling guests. in summer you can also eat well maintained in the shaded garden. also recommended.
I always enjoy going to this restaurant, always a very friendly and warm welcome. Seasonal, fresh cuisine. The food is freshly cooked here and is always a culinary delight. Particularly worth mentioning are the many homemade ice cream/sorbets, you can really lie down and sip : It's really worth seeing the restaurant from the inside, very fresh, Mediterranean furnishings, with a great garden seating area. The host couple Manuela Gerteiser, the restaurant manager, and Jürgen Gerteiser, the master chef, have been running the restaurant with passion for over 20 years. Also worth mentioning is the great wine list, where you can also find rarities such as Sassicaia or wines from Thomas Studach, but also other great wines by the glass at great prices... I am looking forward to the next time... Always changing, freshly prepared menus are also available at lunchtime. Yes, it is what it is….brilliant… But the only small thing I would like to point out is: There are sometimes unexpected changes on the lunch menu So my beloved mashed potatoes end up with spaetzle... But it's no problem, you're darlings
