Stopped by a few times , good selection of tapas and wines. The fried squid is a must and although I didn’t eat in the restaurant this time have previously had good meals here.
Thoroughly enjoyed lunch here with 11 friends on the first day of The Bilbao Fiestas... Good selections for each course. Reasonably priced at €20/person... Wine included.. Nice location on the outskirt of Casco Viejo. Service very good... Worth a visit ...
This was the worst meal by far during a week in Northern Spain. Two fish dishes chosen, one was bland and tasteless, the other alarmingly salty. A dried circle round the edge of the sauce made me wonder if my plate had seen the inside of a microwave. It was not cheap either. We left.
Food is good quality and good value. The restaurant in in an ornate room but oddly modernised. Waiting staff very profesional and attentive
After walking The Camino for two weeks we celebrated our trip with dinner at Anaya. Once seated we ordered a bottle of wine and asked to have a few minutes before ordering our meal. Looking around the facilities we were impressed with the beauty. The restaurant was very clean and everything was in order. I had been some what concerns when we had walked in because the waiter did not speak English however he seamed to understand our request. The menu was in English. I said this was priced mid range. The meal in the USA would have cost twice as much or more and been worth it.
