Still feels safe and the tea selection is thrilling! Four stars only because, as we all know, the high prices are ridiculous. Still, for conveniency and quality, I am always going to choose Peete's over Starbucks. View all feedback.

looks like they like being here somewhere else. I usually stop in oakland and everything is perfect. only a free day was the ham and cheese melt just not right. coffee is always good. View all feedback.
I've hung out here a few times with my laptop but never will again after today's experience. I walk in just behind a group of people. The bathroom is directly beside the cash register. I stand beside the bathroom door and the cashier says the bathroom is for customers only. I tell him I will make my purchase when the line is gone. Someone exits the single use bathroom, I walk in, and this male cashier follows me in to the single use bathroom and tells me I need to pay first, customers only.Could I have been lying? Sure. Is enforcing a company policy on someone who may or may not spend that couple bucks on coffee worth the violation and humiliation of following a woman into the bathroom? Guess that's up to other customers to decide. I took the 6 up Telegraph and went to Burlap instead. Better cappuccinos and better vibes.
Should have read the reviews before coming. owner is VERY strict and will allow NO outside food even after you have purchased their drinks and are waiting for them. either have your staff work faster or be patient and zip your mouth. you know the establishment when their owner/leader has a bad attitude. ???? don’t recommend this place at all.
A chain coffee place with a local coffe-ship feel. Not too crowded, even at peak times, and the inside is pretty clean and inviting. A better alternative to Starbucks, at least in Berkeley.
The place looks like a coffee shop and has a vibe that way too. However, the coffee is undrinkable. My espresso tasted like the wash-water of an ashtray. Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3
I ordered a vegan empanada which did not taste good. When I spoke to the person who seemed to be in charge, he basically said, well, we have this pamphlet that shows the ingredients and you should have looked at that. I told him that no one had showed me this pamphlet which was under the counter. He was like, too bad. Very unfriendly. Also the drink was nothing special and for this tiny inedible empanada and iced tea, the charge was $16. I will not be returning. Service: Dine in Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
