I believe you really can't go wrong at this place. The food is always delicious, and the portions are as generous as an Italian grandmother's! If possible, make sure to reheat as suggested. View all feedback.
What Lisa B dislikes about Casa Barotti:
The dishes arrived cold, despite my request for them to be warmed up. The SPICY SOPPRESSATA was dry and unexciting, while the PATATE ZUCCHINE was quite enjoyable. The CAPRICCIOSA was only mediocre. I did appreciate the savory tart, but it was slightly overcooked and had a bit of a burnt flavor. At least now I know what to order next time. View all feedback.
Warning: If you're looking for American style pizza, this is not the place for you. This modest spot serves FOCACCIA with a large variety of toppings and is as authentic as it gets outside of Italy. The owner uses super fresh vegetables and meats, and uses recipes from his upbringing in northern Italy. The flavors are delicate and wonderful. AND they have that iconic street food found in Italy and South France a GF flatbread either called Socca or Farinata. It's made from chickpea flour and olive oil. It is a great snack made without any wheat, and full of protein.
Delicious focaccia pizza slices, excellent service and great music. What more could you want. Reasonably priced too! This is a neighborhood gem.
Don’t go here… Unless you want to gain weight and have some of the best focaccia and pizza in the East BayBay Area. I say this as a native New Yorker, who is very critical of pizza and thinks most of the pizza in California is pretty underwhelming.
Wonderful staff and all around good vibes. The happy hour is a delight. Best for snacks and a variety of Italian wines. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
Second time getting focaccia here and just have to spread the word on how absolutely delicious the food is! The focaccia is soft with a nice crunchy bottom and the vegetarian flavors are excellent. Today we had the arrabiata and it did have a bit of a kick, nice tomato paste flavor and such a lovely texture! Also enjoyed an avocado caprese sandwich- vegetarian and very beautiful with pale green tomatoes, avocados and arugula paired with mozzarella. The service is wonderful and the dining area is very cute and clean! Prices are reasonable. Will come back for dinner and drinks at some point! Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
