We were going to be ingenious before the pandemic. My husband kept it and I didn't know they had changed. When I arrived and I saw it was another one, I was disappointed. I opened the very skeptic letter. But what a surprise! We ask for several dishes to share and serve them to so minds. everything very well, carefully in detail. excellent attention. we will also try a cocktail full of experience. We'll repeat it. The service was excellent and every dish and cocktail that served us, knew exactly how they explained it to us. We'd love to get back with drip.
Fantastic! we loved the concept of the menu that speaks of emotions during the creative process. the hot bread with smoked butter tomatoes was with burratina and the pizzeta without forgetting the desserts (mamma mia the desserts all very good and of first quality. the service an ideal to go in couple or small group of friends. The place has a lot of charm. We'll be back!
We had dinner here on a Sunday evening, which is always tricky finding a good restaurant on this day of the week. We were not disappointed. The dishes were very good.
Tucked away in the Gothic Quarter, the Contraban is a gem of a restaurant in a hotel. Service was friendly, professional and very helpful and the setting is simply gorgeous. We opted for the tasting menu (table of 4) and while all of various offerings were delicious, none of them really stood out like they did at different Michelin mentioned restaurants in Barcelona. Would definitely recommend for the service and ambience but would suggest ordering off the menu vs. doing the tasting.
