This fish and chips shop is pretty good. The fresh flake is well-battered, not dry, and there's no fishy smell. The potato cakes are fantastic—I ordered four, two for myself and two for my daughter. She liked them so much that she ended up eating one of mine! The chips are slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
The best fish and chips in Anglesea! I haven't tried the two other places that have opened in recent years, but this one is excellent. They offer a solid selection of fried foods, fish, simple burgers, onions, sauces, and drinks. You can even grab an ice cream from the freezer if you're in the mood for a treat. I was a bit confused the other day when I ordered two fried whiting and ended up with four pieces, but I learned that they add extra if the fish doesn't quite meet their standards.
