Cos in Adelaide has been a long-standing favorite for quality steaks, but recent visits have been met with mixed experiences. The 'feed me' menu offers a variety of dishes, with highlights like the ham croquettes and espresso brulee. However, long wait times and subpar service have left some patrons dissatisfied. On the other hand, a trust-the-chef four-course meal with wine pairing received rave reviews for its amazing food and top-notch service, despite uncomfortable chairs. Under new management, the restaurant has seen vast improvements and is now a go-to spot for delicious food and excellent service. With a beautiful ambiance, a mind-blowing wine list, and impeccably cooked dishes, Cos is a must-visit for those seeking a memorable dining experience in Adelaide.

Was Cali West at Cos a mag?
Under new management and a vast improvement - food is amazing, atmosphere greatly improved and excellent service. My wife is hooked on the cockle linguine and I love the steak or chicken dishes. Polenta chips or Caesar salad are amazing sides. Good wine list, try the rose they often provide free tastes. View all feedback.
What Hayley Emard dislikes about Cos:
Cos used to be the 'go to' place in Adelaide for a good steak. I hadn't been here in a while so decided to visit it again last week. We had the 'feed me' menu which consists of 4 courses. The starters were duck pate and ham croquettes.. the pate was good but ratio of pate to crackers was disappointing.. the ham croquettes were a delight. For mains we had the steak, braised chicken and ling poached fish. Both the stea... View all feedback.
Steaks are highly recommended! Classic restaurant with professional services. Manager was so friendly and organised. Will be back next time.
I've just had lunch at Cos and it was so perfect I needed to share. This is what exactly what you want from a place. It's beautifully set up with lots of space between tables. It's in a lovely old building with big windows, tall ceilings and natural light. The wine list is mind blowing. Enough music in the background to create ambiance but not anywhere near too loud.I had the fig and walnut salad. The candied walnuts were delicious, and they kindly added perfectly cooked beef to my order. My boyfriend had the lamb rump - beautifully presented and again ridiculously delicious.I didn't want to leave. If I lived in Adelaide this would be my restaurant.
Don't drive down Leigh Street - the 'No Through' should be changed to vehicles no entry - and the street atmosphere is as delightful as Cos, situated in a quaint old building, with dim lighting and an amazing Gin list. They have the best in the world to choose from...no a great range of beers - but as Victorian's, we felt under represented. Plates were substantial, choice from fish, steak, lamb, roo, goat etc. fabulously well cooked. Staff were fantastic too! Only criticism is acoustics - bit noisy when crowded.
The food was excellent, prepared with honest and unpretentious cooking. The wine list was impressive and reasonably priced. Service was attentive and came with a touch of wit!
