We sat on the terrace, overlooking one of the main streets in the town, close to the river. We enjoyed a cold lunchtime beer or two and some and tasty tuna and onion tapas.

There a number of bars in this street, and on a busy Friday night, this was the only one with free space. Unfriendly and overpriced.

At Avenida Del Churrillo 28 is La Tapería de Benálmadena. Seemed to have much more of a mixed local/tourist clientele. Serves decent traditional Andalusian tapas in good portions. We particularly enjoread more...

Damp morning and too late for hotel breakfast so we ventured outside, and entered nearest bar. Clearly more of a night spot, but they served a good Spanish breakfast!

Stopped by for a vermut.. and what a good one is was, served over ice, with zesty orange garnish. Popular place, youthful modern ambience.
