It was... read more We really enjoy La Rancherita; it's our favorite restaurant in Tarboro. However, we were disappointed to find an unexpected charge for extra chips today. It wasn't a major issue for us, as there are only two of us and we don't typically eat many chips. The bigger concern, which we've experienced on a few occasions, is the loud music. We've usually put up with it, but today it was so loud that we could hardly hear each other speak. We requested that the volume be lowered, but we were told that the manager doesn't have access to the equipment controlling the music. I'm quite disappointed, and we will likely look for a different, quieter dining option next time.
