Great location, atmosphere and wonderful service. The food unfortunately was a disappointment. I had a hotdog, and it’s really not worth the money: cheap cheese, cheap way too sour fake tasting sauce, and not tasty sausage. Too bad, cos the place looked very promising. View all feedback.

Eat is delicious, but I prefer more sose in salad. staaf is friendly. beautiful location
The most central brasserie in Zwolle, with a covered and heated terrace next to the church, in Den Hoofdwacht offers a good variety of plates in an informal setting. The service is not perfect but the staff is friendly. The food is pretty good, mostly fresh stuff and the portions are big. We could sit on the terrace on a Saturday evening without reservation but I would still recommend to reserve if you wanna sit inside. Extra points for how the wine menu, they use the Coravin system so a wider range of wines can be served by the glass and you'll have the guarantee that the wine is in perfect condition.
Nice place in the central square. friendly and welcoming staff. tasty dishes. you can also eat outdoors. only note that you can smell too much of the kitchen
