It was almost always full whether we went there on a...weekday or a weekend, so if you’re more than two people dining, check in advance.

But the quality was really good and the prices moderate (at least for Zurich). We learned, that the delay was...caused by the fact, that it was the opening day the team worked together for the very first time. Considering this, it was a great job.

Never having tasted Swiss cuisine, we did not know what to expect and were pleasantly surprised by the flavorful dishes. My husband opted for the Weinerschnitzel, and I had...roast beef in a red wine sauce with mashed potatoes and carrots. For dessert, we shared an apple strudel in vanilla bean sauce. Each bite was delicious! There was an extensive beer and wine list. There was only one server for a crowded dining room, which made service slower than it should have been. The atmosphere was charming. Prices were reasonable by Zurich standards. Our bill for dinner for two, dessert, beer and coffee was just over 100 Swiss Francs. Recommend!

Expecting only an average meal, we were surprised at the top notch quality of the food, including the most tender and delicious asparagus au gratin we've ever...eaten, as well as a wonderful mixed salad with chicken that also excelled anything we had anywhere elsewhere. This is a great place to eat.

The restaurant is in the old part of the city close to the Grossmunster and the lake.
