We were only in Zurich for one day and there is no shortage of dining options. We stumbled upon Schipfe 16 and it was a lovely experience. We arrived just in time before they closed for lunch and were treated to a lovely meal. Situated right on the water, the ambiance was great. Stop in and enjoy delicious food and views.
Although the food was very good and at a reasonable price, we felt like the service was more friendly. Later we discovered the background of the restaurant: Schipfe 16 is a job integration offer from the city of Zurich, which is a wonderful thing, but keep an eye on this when you keep, and do not expect an impeccable, smiling service.
Food is decent but staff do not thank you for your patronage regardless of tipping
Simple but great food We had a great evening at Schipfe16. The ravioli for the starter and the nut salad for the main course were delicious. It's definitely worth a visit... And the location right on the river is great... If you had served a foam (parsley foam) or chive oil with the ravioli or salmon and grated parmesan flakes over it instead of grated Parmesan... icing on the cake
