The restaurant has a somewhat industrial hipster feel to it, which is stylish, but doesn’t provide a very warm atmosphere in the evening. The service was fine, although we felt like the vibe was a bit off from the beginning. The food was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. There weren’t any unusual or interesting flavor associations and the dishes were pretty unremarkable, despite the promising menu that got us there in the first place. The “Blattspinat Salat” was an ok starter and the “Pas de boeuf Bourguignon” did its job veganizing a traditional dish. The club sandwiches were a huge letdown, as they were quite bland, somewhat unbalanced and not easy to eat either due to their small size. The desserts sounded interesting on the menu, but we really only enjoyed the icing on the carrot cake and the small pieces of meringues. Their homemade bread was not to our taste. The biggest issue we had with the restaurant was that the prices didn’t match the quality and quantity of the food offered. The dishes weren’t bad on overall, but they didn’t justify their inflated prices, especially the mains. We are used to paying a bit more in Zurich and vegan dishes often come with a premium, but in this case it was a bit exaggerated and didn’t match our expectations. We ate à la carte and cannot judge the value for money provided by their tasting menu experience or their lunch menu. Updated from previous review on 2023-10-03
