Event in Zurich, I decide to stay at the hotel for the night and I take the opportunity to have dinner at the Florhof restaurant, the staff is very kind and welcoming, together with the quality of food and wine (Pinot Noir from Graubunden) , they made my dinner very pleasant, talking about the food I was really thrilled by the proposals, in particular I enjoyed the cauliflower with cream and black truffle pearls, fair price for what was offered, I felt very happy.

I had a business dinner at Florhof and can warmly recommend it. Florhof is in the old part of town and slightly off the beaten track. The menu is simply amazing and the knowledge of the staff was extremely high and something I truly appreciate. It makes dinner so much nicer. Florhof is family owned and run which you notice as you are not yet another customer . Highly recommendable is to book a room with their hotel which are extremely nice (see my separate recommendation)

I spent 3 nights here in July. It 's a beautiful old building with lots of character and original features combined with modern luxury. In an excellent location, just a few minutes ' walk from the Kunsthaus and the old town but very quiet neighbourhood, making the pretty garden a lovely oasis of calm. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, the 'guest relations manager ' was particularly lovely and a real bonus for animal lovers.Breakfast was a good-quality buffet with plenty of options. I ate at the restaurant on my final evening and it was a real treat: fabulous food approaching Michelin quality, the raspberry vacheringlace was fabulous.I visited during a ridiculously hot period (37 degrees during the day) and the hotel does not have air-conditioning. A fan was supplied which did its best but struggled to keep the room cool in such extreme heat. I knew the hotel did not have air-conditioning so this did not bother me but it may be worth bearing in mind if you 're used to super-cool modern hotels.

I stayed in this beautiful old hotel with parquet floors. Room was cosy and dual aspect over the roof tops of Zurich. Bathroom well lit with luxury toiletries by Rituals and had a bath with small hand shower that gave an adequate stream of water.Breakfast was excellent although by the time I came down at 9.30 am the Bircher muesli hadn’t been put in an ice bowl so was both warm and the bowl hadn’t been refilled so there wasn’t much there. Good bread, cheese, yoghurt, boiled eggs and great coffee. The hotel is very reasonably priced near the Kunsthaus and walking distance to the old town. Cosy salon with easy chairs and tables with a library where you can have drinks. A great place to stay and I have already recommended it to friends as I will definitely go back to this hotel whenever I’m in Zurich

The service was good. Unfortunately the food wasn’t as we expected! :(The main course wasn’t well composed (fish with sweet potato)The chocolate dessert (18.-Chf) wasn’t tasty as well.Unfortunately Not to recommend!
