It is unpretentious, mostly Swiss and reasonable. They have daily specials that include something additional to the main...dish, such as a salad. It is located in the Seefeld section and closes at pm. Restaurants serving dinner usually first open at pm, so Escoffier is fine for an early dinner or lunch.

They offer breakfast, some lunch menus, afternoon cakes and rather early dinner (they close at We had a late breakfast (scrambled eggs) and as...we were talking decided to stay for lunch. For Zürich, the lunch offers were rather low priced (incl. soup or salat), but nevertheless good. Especially, the beef carpaccio was very tasty. The staff was surprisingly friendly (we even witnessed how the service lady helped an handicapped patron the cut his meal).
