It was a business dinner with colleagues after work. overall, eating was of good quality and in generous amount, fresh ingredients and friendly staff.
This is a must in the city! beautiful staff, elegant location and cozy atmosphere. the menu is available depending on the different seasons and the best ingredients. Every time I come back, there's something new. the best Italian restaurant in zürich!
I had a nice feedback from leoni, but this time the restaurant was crossed out of my list. starter: gnocco fritto cannot be called gnocco fritto, as it was a bit hard and flat. the real gnocco fritto is far away from what they serve. only positiw : prosciutto crudo served top bill: chf for a quiet water it is too much and they did not inform us about the price as they gave them the water before the menu. we also wanted to pay with a voucher from restaurantchoice. ch, leoni is mentioned there, but they did not respond nicely that they do not know wet it is and they asked to be canceled for years. strange because their name is still on the website! only a positive note on the waitress was nice, but this is the only positive note of a terrible place. never timer
Eating is exceptional, weeping menu is great and the atmosphere is simply great, very cozy place to go with friends / as a couple. beautiful!
It was a cold, misty Friday evening. Langstrasse was waking up slowly to yet another adventorous night of wild drunken howling surrounding the fallen establishments of the area. Our protagonists were taking a turn right into the darkness and what awaited to be a great...culinary Italian disappointment. Having arrived they could not sense the deception yet. The coziness and apparent but (what turned out later to be) false welcoming tone of the hosting parties put their alertness to sleep utterly. Giving it no second thought whatsoever they followed recommendation of truffle pasta and steak. Unaware of the final price which was supposed to wipe the smiles off their faces after all the jolly chatting among friends who were longing for an amicable get together accompanied by food and wine of southern descent. With their minds covered in a mist of light alcoholic dissolution they were unaware of the upcoming price of the truffle pasta as well as the overpriced mediocre wine. The waiter (manager being a bit too pushy yet remarkably smart was pulling them in the trap further and further (price per being displayed on the wall and waiter preparing it in front of their eyes) like the rabbit seducing Alice into the rabbit hole. The piece of meat arrived in the form far from the desired one (rather rarish instead of medium-well and quite chewy to be frank). The pasta being ok-ish but not leaving anyone breathless. Our protagonists, with heavy hearts, reached to their purses and made the decision never to return again and to alert their friends and any unknown parties as well of the deception they have been part of.
