Bauernschaenke - Zuerich

One of the best meals I've had in recent memory, and the restaurant experience as a whole was delightful! A great location and the service was kind and helpful. The meal was a modern and elevated take on local cuisine, which fit perfectly what I was hoping for. A perfect spot for a special occasion or even just a quality night out.

Very creative food, with excellent choice of paring wine. Friendly waiter, nice decor. One star less because of the tight timeline we got and had to leave within 1.5hours.

We had our civil wedding lunch there at the end of January 2023 and it was perfect: from the communication for the organisation (thank you Philipp) to the reception and service (thank you Chloe and Steffi), the natural wine and of course the dishes full of creativity and respect for the product. Some of our guests even went back in the following weeks and we will also come back soon.

Beautiful, rustic restaurant, innovative and perfectly cooked, perhaps a little generously salted food. Acceptable prices and friendly service.

Good food, but if I pay 200 CHF for a meal I expect to not get thrown out in a real unfriendly way because they overbooked their tables. Also, they knew what we would order and how long it would take. The bottleneck was their speed, but nevertheless they made us feel like we did something wrong. If you want to spend money you can find better service in Zürich elsewhere.
