The location of the hut is great and it is absolutely worth the steep climb to reach it. It can get very crowded at lunch but the staff is doing their best to handle the crowds. We had here a rest day during our Alta Via 1 trek and really liked it. The Coldai lake is just 10 minutes walk. unfussy facilities. Accommodating for hikers and climbers wanting early starts late arrivals etc. Showers and wash facilities could be better. Staff were helpful. What you would expect of a CAI refuge. View all feedback.
One of the staff was very rude throughout my stay. There was a lot of noise until very late so not much sleep was had. I was charged extra for a small dorm even though I didn’t ask for one. Food was okay though. I would not return here and would not recommend it. Rif. Tissi is only a short distance away and a much better option.

Even though it’s a CAI rifugio, it’s very expensive. The dinner might take a while. The surroundings are spectacular though.
