Was AtlantaPesto at Aquila a mag?
Simply put, this place is an amazing local pizzeria. The owner is very gracious and sat our group of four kids and four adults quickly. The pizzas are very large for the price, and the ingredients are fresh and high quality. The Gabriel was unbelievably good. Absolutely worth a visit when in the area! View all feedback.

Fresh, quick and only 3.50 euro for marinara pizza. Nice place to sit too. There's not too many places open this time of year so good to have somewhere for either lunch or dinner.
We ate here while staying in Zocca for a couple of days, passing through Italy. The pizza was great! My husband had a calzone, which he also raved about. We loved the addition of the chili oil on the table. Just enough heat! The waitress was friendly, and we got by although we don't know much Italian and she didn't speak English. Prices were also very low! Highly recommend.
It has been raining in Montalbano di Zocca and my family and I are already suffering from cabin fever so we decide to drive out to the center of town to see if there is anything worth trying for lunch. The selection of eating places there is quite limited. And while the signs say that the establishments are open, there are hardly any patrons inside to actually indicate business. At the edge of the centro, we find an empty Pizzeria Aquila. Under its shade, we take shelter from the cold rain. And the lady-owner graciously invites us in. I ask her if she spoke English. Nah. Spanish? Nah. French? Nah. Well, we are in the heart of provincial Italy, so we must not expect. We order for 2 kinds of pizzas: Quattro Formaggi and Paolo, which has anchovies, artichokes, onions, mushrooms, and cherry tomatoes. I also want to try Calzone with prosciutto. The 16-inch pizzas came with the large Calzone. The crusts are very crisp, divinely bubbly, and never more than 2 millimeters thick yet strong enough to be hand-rolled. The toppings are laid all the way to the edges and are generous. The calzone is evenly filled and its crust is just as good as the pizzas'. To spice it up, we are handed a tiny jar of chili oil with a warning: molto piccante. It was perfection! To drink, we ask for 1.5 liter Coca-Cola and later, a capuccino. All in all, the lunch sets us back 33EUR. Whodathunk we'll find a pizza place this good in this parts of the woods? Or is this really how it must be done. We drive back home wondering.
