Las Azucenas - ZIHUATANEJO

Again, this past winter we had many outstanding dinners here.The food service are outstanding. The view on the roof of the hotel is spectacular.Can't wait to be back this January.

We very much enjoyed our last evening at la ropa beach eating here at the top of the hotel. It has a lovely view and the chef does a very attractive presentation of tasty food. Great service. Very romantic

After walking up the 4 flights of stairs to the rooftop restaurant at Las Azucenas, you'll wonder if you've made a mistake. It's a low key operation with card tables covered with tablecloths and a wonderful view of the Zihua sunsets. I don't go out of my way looking for coconut shrimp but the coconut shrimp here was fantastic. Tried the salad with passion fruit vinegrett another nite and it was also excellent. Had chocolate mousse for desert and that wasn't outstanding but I wouldn't let that hold you back from a great meal.

This little gem of a seafood restaurant affords an unmatched view of Zihuatanejo and the bay! We enjoyed charismatic personal service from our waiter Edgar! The chile relleno stuffed with octopus and shrimp was marvelous, with a complex but not fiery sauce and perfectly steamed al dente vegetables. The banana crepes lightly sugar dusted, and served with fresh whipped cream and fresh strawberries were a fantastic finish! This lovely eatery sits atop a multi-story building, so you will have to climb some stairs, but worth every step. Very near most all the hotels on Playa la Ropa!

This place is a gem! Lovely location, beautiful views, 2 minutes away from the beach and clean rooms. The staff and hotel owners are very hospitable and always make their guests feel welcome and safe. I have vacationed in Mexico 4 times with family and friends and have stayed here each time. We've all always very much enjoyed our stay. I cannot recommend this place enough you won't be disappointed!
