We went to La Serena Gorda on Sunday night after wandering the basketball court and checking out the local vendors. We were not disappointed.I have a severe shellfish allergy and they had no problem accommodating me, pointing me in the direction of the pollo and making a note for the cocina not to let anything touch my chicken. What User doesn't like about La Sirena Gorda:
I found our meal to be very average, as was the service. Unlike other restaurants we have visited, we were not provided with any bread or tortilla chips. Portion size was small (I had shrimp tacos, which tasted fine, but not anything above average). So as mentioned, it was an average meal, with an average rating. Gluten friendly . Kind and delicious food. The place is wonderful and the owner is there to make you feel at home . Delicious
The food was decent but we ordered 4 meals . They brought two meals but the second two were brought like 20 minutes later and they acted like it was normal. We didn’t order anything unusual and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Horrible service.
I ate here with my friend, ordered up some tasty fish tacos and an order of guacamole. Enjoyed both, service was good. The waiter was very patient with me as I’m hearing impaired. Liking forward to eating here again
When the restaurant we were planning to go to was actually closed, we decided on La Sirena, based on the great atmosphere location and the hospitality of Sergio, who spoke perfect English, a rare bonus in Zihau. Then the food came and we were blown away. The presentation and flavours were amazing. We will be back!
