I'd never heard of Gopegi or the Artzegi until we received the invitation, but this restaurant s... read more We came here to celebrate the marriage of some friends of ours. I'd never heard of Gopegi or the Artzegi until we received the invitation, but this restaurant should be on the itinerary of everyone who visits the area . The staff were brilliant, the food was fresh with lots of lovely subtle flavours. There was a choice for our main course so I had oven roasted lamb, but also tasted the hake and the ox cheek which was melt in the mouth delicious. The restaurant was really busy on the Saturday afternoon with lots of families having lunch a great atmosphere. Although dessert had been chosen we also asked for one portion of goxua what can I say: creamy, caramel, sweet, yum.

The wild boar burger was pretty bad and they don't allow dogs in, only to the bar temporarily.
