An unexpected oasis in the middle of the island. We were on the beach and hungry for a little treat and stumbled upon this gem on the side of the road. Delicious! The soft serve ice cream with shaved ice topping was fantastic, and I tried some soft cream with caramel and peanut toppings. I'm not sure when or if we'll return to Taketomi Island, but we will definitely come back here if we do.

I rented a bicycle at Himawari near Izumiya Inn. The shaved ice with mango ice cream was my favorite dessert. I made a note of it on my travel tips website.
