We found this place by chance driving from Magreglio through Bellagio, south down the lake to Nesso and then via Canova back to Magreglio. I would really recommend this place for a lunch on the road. There were we and some locals at the place at the time of the visit which is always a good sign. The restaurant is family owned and at least one of the owners love and take care of cats coming there. Grazie molto! There was also a young kid there practicing doing a great job!

Wow! We're we ever rewarded! We've been to Italy a dozen or more times, and I cook Italian from scratch like my Nona taught me. However, this tagliatelle con porcini was the best pasta we've ever had anywhere!! And the veal...mmmmm! Oh! And the bread, which is baked on site, had a crunchy crust and a meaty inside. Clearly the only bread we've had in all of Italy that comes close to what we expect in France. I can't ever remember having had a better meal. Ever! The service was great and the chef's grandchildren and son-in-law were eating at the table next to the kitchen. Their grandmother, who had a hip blue do, was our server and she was way cool! I love this place!!!

Somewhat difficult to drive up to but absolutely worth it. Parking available. Very reasonable prices. We enjoyed sitting with a coffee watching clouds float by below us Highly recommended

We like to mix between the local guests and we always feel very w... read more In this local family restaurant we come over and over again during all our trips to Lake Como. We like to mix between the local guests and we always feel very welcome by the family who runs the place. The cook is very inventive and makes wonderful plates, also for us who are vegetarians. The torta's made by Francesca are delicious. We love the warm lunch just as good as the evening dinner. We are very happy to visit this feel good restaurant.
