I'm sorry to say, but this Jav... read more I have been a regular client at Java Coffee Bar at Hogeschool Gent for the last 4 years and I always had great experiences there. I'm sorry to say, but this Java Coffee Bar is nothing like them. It was a quiet afternoon. There were 2 people at work who didn't seem interested in their work at all. They kept chatting with each other even though I was waiting at the counter to order. I asked for a latte to drink there and it almost seemed to much to do. They prepared mine in a paper cup although I said specifically that it was not to take away. When I asked to have my latte in a normal coffee cup, it (again) felt like I was asking too much. The few people who were sitting in the place had all paper cups. In my opinion, the staff does this to not have more work because it's easier to throw a cup away then to wash one. When I eventually sat down, it was filthy everywhere. There was just no clean table I could find. It's a shame that such a nice place with great coffee can be so damaged by the people who work there.
