I’ve visited this bar a few times and liked the atmosphere, but I can’t recommend this place anymore. The owner publicly made a xenophobic remark about refugees, which doesn’t reflect the values of a welcoming community.
Once again a great lunch in a nice atmosphere. Owner and staff very kind and helpful. Prices are reasonable and plenty of parking. You can't go wrong here if eating or just enjoying a drink. Great terrace and inside tables.
This is a great spot located in the heart of Zaventem, perfect for grabbing drinks with a large group of colleagues after work. The interior gives off a classic local pub feel, but the atmosphere is laid-back with a mix of locals and nearby company employees. There is additional seating in the back for bigger groups, along with a variety of drinks and basic warm and cold snacks served by Dutch-speaking staff who also speak English and French. The menu includes Belgian-style finger foods like fried calamari, bitterballen, and currywurst. During the summer, there is a small outdoor seating area on the sidewalk, across from the church, although it tends to fill up quickly. Overall, this is one of my go-to spots for a casual post-work drink. Plenty of parking is available on Zaventem Church Square.
