Wischt'l Hittn - Zaunlehen

It was really nice to eat here and while we were on the baby slopes, we ate here daily. It was busy, but always managed to get a place by asking and sharing. It was quieter than on the mountain so that my son would come to Gondel to accompany us. The sausages and chips were nice like the potato cream soup. We drank ski water that was a very diluted pink squash. Prices are much cheaper than the mountain and even as the café next door. Fast friendly service. Only cash.

Cosy house with lots of wood, offers a very traditional atmosphere. We had Goulash, some meat bags (not sure about the right name), and apple strudel. Everything tasted good and the staff was really nice. Would definitely recommend going.

My family LOVED eats in this place. It has a wide range of freshly cooked foods that they turn very quickly. Simple things really, but hearty and very vegetarian friendly. Fantastic selection of cakes including a large apple strudel with Custard. Friendly and helpful service and even humiliated my school boy German!

The Good: The setting is authentic, the food is delicious. The details: After arrival (27 July) with a family group of 16 it took 3 attempts for the man to take our drink order: first attempt, he got a drink, second attempt he took 4 orders then distracted. Then it was only after 35 minutes that we decided to ask the (very unfriendly) woman behind the bar if they could take our order, and after another 10 minutes wait, he came back to take more beverage orders. In response to our criticism of having to wait 45 minutes for our drinks, he was actually annoyed with us and blamed us (to his voice) for not taking our order. I've never seen this before, even in the worst places I was. I would have expected the restaurant industry to try to serve their best customers in difficult times. But not at this point I would definitely recommend it. There are many other places to go to Rauris and you will still get a good authentic meal and definitely friendly service. We chose dessert and drinks elsewhere as a group. That was very good and I will write this review tomorrow. The building is in a good location, but the management should definitely be replaced.

Direkt vor der Talstation zur Hochalm befindet sich die Hütte und lädt den Gast zum verweilen ein. Die Speisekarte ist zwar klein, aber die Gerichte schmackhaft und nicht überteuert. Zusätzlich findet man noch einige Tagesgerichte an einer Tafel.Die Hütte ist rustikal eingerichtet und bei schönem Wetter kann man draußen sitzen und das Tal und die Berge vor sich genießen.
