Hotel Restaurant Transilvania

We were looking for a nice, quiet place to eat, nothing fancy. We went here and ordered a normal dish (chicken with fries) and they were very delicious and the plate was pretty big. We stayed on the terrace which is nice and very green,...lots of grass. I definetly recommend eating here!

The food was great but the service was extremely slow. The waiters didn't seem to be care that we waited over 20 minutes before they took our order.

Rather formal decor and nicer to sit outside when possible. Menu long but holds few surprises, like most local places in Romania. Try the beetroot with horseradish, and if you haven't tried it before, mamaliga cu smantana si branze (polenta with sour cream and cheese)...is a traditional staple. Filling!

We reached their restaurant by mistake, being hungry after a trail, and after the first day having a really good tomato soup for myself and steak plus fries for my husband, we decided to eat there the second day of our trip as well. We got one veggie pizza ( really good - I think it was vegan) and one calzzone. They were really good, and with lemonade and water we paid 50 lei for both per meal. Just try it. :)

Visited for lunch. Food was decent, nothing to write home about. Service was below average though. We ordered with one person, was served by two others. Rather confusing. Overall a 6/10 experience. Prices medium, as you would expect from a restaurant of this type.
