I really recommend and we'll go back there without hesitation. a big thank you for this big evening
Having lunch at El Teatro was a different experience. The decor is rather ornate, as might be expected of an old theatre, and the dining room itself is a bit on the small side. Because of this it is also rather noisy, a bit too much for my liking. But Spanish restaurants are notorious for this! There are two sittings for lunch, at 1330 and then at 1500. I recommend the 1500 sitting if you don't want to be gently reminded to pack it up and move on to make room for the second sitting! The service was very pleasant, friendly waitresses, but not overly friendly. The service is quick, perhaps too quick. One had the impression that the food might have been waiting on a plate in the kitchen. The variety for starters and the main course was sufficient. A selection of 5 from both areas, as well as 5 selections for dessert. Curiously enough the portions are actually too large! Yes, when you finish with your starter, you are more or less finished! And all of us at the meal tried a different starter, to sample. The food was fine, but nothing memorable. I might have made it myself at home. The same can be said of the main course. Way too much food! THe site of so much food on the plate almost takes away the desire to eat! Especially after a starter that filled you up. And again, the food was fine, but nothing you are going to remember or talk about later. The price is right, however. Absolutely everything is included in the price of 20 euros per person, tax included. So the relation of price to quality is very good. Would I recommend the place? Sure, it is different, you will definitely have a large lunch to get you through more touring! And, it isn't everyday that you eat in such surroundings. Will I return? Probably not. The novelty will have worn off.
