quite honestly, the images do not do the place justity. the hotel is just as it looks, but seeing it during a beautiful sunny day is absolutely incredible. stay in room 26 a junior suite with sea view, which is only accessible via 3 staircase flights and only 1 of 3 rooms on the floor. the access to the infinity pool is an etage below. the room has a air conditioning and a TV. do not book this room type if they have... Everything about the hotel is simply amazing, near many restaurants, reasonable price for a standard room. the rooms are a bit vintage, so when they are in modern interiors, this is not for them, but other wise everything is amazing. very friendly staff, breakfast is delicious and location is just taking breath. highly recommended when visiting stone city. 10 seconds to walk from the Freddie-Quecksilber Museum, which was a plus for us
Beautiful building, great staff and a fun and diverse scene tembo house explores. the building has beautiful rustic colonial art, with incredible art and decor. the staff is very helpful, understanding and available even if they don't speak swahili or Arabic. and the guests are a really great mix from all over the world – it makes fun to hear only all international languages! loves the restaurant and the view. great for beginners like me!
Amazing amazing amazing. Nearly everyone speaks English, breakfast is amazing. Right on the ocean, easy ride to islands. Rooms are AC and refrigerator too. Large bathrooms. Cannot wait to come back! $15 taxi from/to airport. Walk to markets, right in Stone Town. Restaurant on site also
