Hanul Drumetilor - Zalău

Hanul Drumetilor is our no#1 choice whenever we are in town. We like the atmosphere and the food. The International kitchen the restaurant offers is great and we like the choices we have, from flavored shrimp to great steak and traditional Romanian food. The location...is great and it is located on the main road and parking is easy to find. The restaurant has been recently renovated and the new look is very welcoming. Feel free to visit anytime you are in Zalau and you won’t feel disappointed,

This was an year a go had same bad experience. Few days ago been contacted by the owner that she do not find my comment very nice that I left in the Facebook page . Search for it it seems to be deleted . Been...there many times but for drinks But the food is so so , service is awful . Waiting time was around 2 hrs with no one lettings know how long will be taking to eat .waiters don't bother to tell you how long is going to take for it.the place wasn't crowded so I didn't understand how is possible to wait so much for 3 portion of chicken and a salat . The salat was containing chili ,but I think was chili with salad not the other way around .let know the waiter and he was agreeing with our comment and said that he let know the chef about it but he thinks that the chef likes chili And that it at the end paid for it as usually . Again fooled by this people instead of leaving without to pay as you can do it waiters not around you need to search them to pay the bill , imagine how they take care of your table . Came twice to our table once with drinks and once with the food ,job done . Now that I find my comment is deleted I think is not just the waiter fault here but even the management . As my comment was constructed and they should accept as was not done correctly !!! And for the future to make it happen better !

The best choice in town for both lunch dinner. I've eaten there every time I came to town over the years and I must is the only restaurant that improved every year, from the menu to service to décor. This year I was pleased to see a smaller menu and the terrace with a view of the rolling hills is hands down the nicest view in town.....Did I mentioned they make the best pizza in town? In the previous years my daughter was able to peek at the cook rolling the pizza dough, not sure that's still possible but was sure fun :-)
