What User doesn't like about Royal India:
I love Indian cuisine and eat in Indian restaurants a lot. I was glad to find this restaurant in Zagreb, the food was delicious, but not amazing. The waiters were really friendly, but the owner(? was a bit rude (he had a t-shirt that said: "[censored] off" and we felt like he wanted to leave us when a Familiar, loud customer came with a friend and two ladies. The whole thing felt a little shady. View all feedback.
The staff here are very accomadating and made it very clear as to what we could eat as vegans. The food was devine and priced very well! A good find!
FYI I don't have GI symptoms, so I can't know if there was cross contamination, but there isn't a lot of information out there for Zagreb so I wanted to post my experience. The waitress spoke English. I also showed her my card that explained celiac disease in Croatian she knew immediately what I was looking for and walked me through the menu to show me what was safe for me to have. My sister is a vegetarian, and she also had a good experience.
This restaurant offers delicious food at great prices with really helpful staff. It's like having a small piece of India in Zagreb. Don't let the small space and loud music deter you, the food is fantastic!
I have visited this restaurant 4 to 5 times and I have never been disappointed. The food is excellent and the ambience is nice and cozy. The portion sizes are just right and the food is always warm and delicious. They offer a scale of 1 to 5 for spiciness levels, so you can choose according to your preference. The staff is friendly and always smiling, providing good service.
I am a big fan of Indian cuisine and frequent Indian restaurants often. I was pleased to discover this restaurant in Zagreb, where the food was flavorful but not exceptional. The wait staff was very friendly, however, the owner seemed a bit rude (he was wearing a t-shirt with inappropriate language) and we felt he was pushing us to leave when a loud, familiar customer arrived with friends. The atmosphere felt a bit questionable.
