Contribute FeedbackI came here tonight with my family as it was the only restaurant this app that was open on a Sunday night, and we were very hungry after a long trip from dubrownik. overall it was a negative experience. I asked about the security of a salmon and quinoa court, and the server was completely insecure if I could have it. I had to tell him to ask the cook, and then ask the GF-Rigatoni if the cook felt safer. someone else brought the pasta (which was actually penne) with the rest of my family eating. When I asked the new server if this was gluten-free and if the cook had been attentive to my allergy, he was released and run away from me when I asked him. our original server returned with the rest of our eating, and I asked him again to clarify at which point the other server returned (now introduced as a cook). I asked for allergies that were met in the kitchen (fresh water, washed hands, new gloves). the chef became defensiw and told me that people with allergies should not eat here. I'm not sure if a language barrier has played a role here, but overall I felt that the seriousness of keliaan disease was released. for what it is worth, the rest of my family felt that eating was so and nothing special. they also forgot to deliver the next court of my brother, possibly because our server did not take any notes as we placed our order. the rigatoni went uneaten, because I was simply not comfortable to eat here. for someone with a gluten intolerance this seems to be in order, although they can have very limited options. I would not recommend it for everyone with celiac, and also not the cook.
Really nice staff, speak English well and good knowledge to eat gluten-free. gluten-free pasta with tomato and cheese on the menu.
I came here with my family this evening, as it was the only restaurant on this app that was open on a Sunday evening, and we were very hungry after a long drive from Dubrovnik. Overall it was a negative experience. I asked about the safety of a salmon and quinoa dish, and the server was completely unsure of whether I could have it. I needed to tell him to ask the chef, and then requested the GF rigatoni if the chef felt it was safer. Someone else brought out the pasta (which was actually penne) with the rest of my family’s food. As I was asking the new server whether this was gluten free and whether the chef had been alerted to my allergy, he was dismissive and walking away from me as I was asking him. Our original server returned with the rest of our food, and I again asked him to clarify, at which point the other server returned (now introduced as the chef). I asked about allergy precautions that were taken in the kitchen (fresh water, washed hands, new gloves). The chef became defensive and told me that people with allergies should not eat here. I’m not sure whether a language barrier played a role here, but overall I felt that the seriousness of Celiac Disease was dismissed. For what it’s worth, the rest of my family felt that the food was so-so and nothing special. They also forgot to deliver my brother’s side dish, possibly because our server did not take notes as we placed our order. The rigatoni went uneaten because I just wasn’t comfortable eating here. For someone with a gluten intolerance, this seems to be okay though you may have very limited options. I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone with Celiac, and neither would the chef.
