We had a great time with my husband. Food was generally good although options in the menu are a bit limited but I guess that is because fresh produce are used. Overall good service and good food. View all feedback.
What Evie Prohaska doesn't like about Le Vieux Logis:
We went to this restaurant to have lunch together. Stopped here for lunch, we both had Menu sur le Pouce for €27, had fillet de perch in a lemon sauce to start followed by filet de sandre in sauce cidre then to finish the most tasty tiramisu . Very mouthful was fantastic and we would most definitely return.
We went to this restaurant to have lunch together. This was totally out of place and disrespectful. This was a pity considering the food was ok and we were served by a very kind waitress. The person who took our order should seriously think about whether she has chosen the right job!
Absolutely first class food and service, at a very reasonable price.Highly recommend. We had the fish Menu of the day plus a dessert, 27 euros, bargain.
We ordered the local speciality “filets de perche” for four people, which was lovely. However the salad (included) and the water we ordered did not arrive and for a solid 10 minutes there was no member of staff to be found, so we only were able to raise this when we finished our entire meal. They refused to take anything off the bill, and only after fighting they agreed €1 per person deduction (total for perches frites salad was €28 so this seemed ridiculous). The only reason I give 2 stars is the quality of the fish and frites.
We ordered a starter (quinoa, egg and eggplant caviar) with in addition a salad of lettuce and tomato only. For each of us. They ran out of quinoa and we were proposed vegetable carpaccio, fine. We got vegetables cut in 3mm pieces so could not really see what was in there but mainly red peppers and little bit of yellow courgette. No Egg. As a salad for 2 person we got one tomato and few leaves of lettuce, on the bed of the same 3mm cut red peppers. We paid 25EUR per person without drinks. I find it too expensive for a meal without proteins, mainly peppers, which are most difficult to digest. Service: Absolute zero. Noone to welcome you, when they come greetings, they just set the table bring you what you order without saying a word. Overall feeling is just eat what we give you, pay and leave.
