What User doesn't like about Whistle Stop Cafe:
This cafe was recommended by some people we met in Cairns. I can’t remember when I have been more disappointed by a word of mouth recommendation . The service was a shambles. We waited 50 minutes for 2 toasted sandwiches while people around us came, ordered, ate and left. There are plenty of other cafes in the village. I recommend giving the others a try. Various places to sit indoors or out . Nice coffee and great service. Opposite the way information bureau and kids park also very handy

I love to see an open kitchen makes you feel very comfortable. We had lunch and coffee all of a high standard. Recommend this place to others cakes looked amazing but my wife would not allow me to have any Lol
The kids were in ice-chocolate heaven and the coffee was also great ! Scones were huge and delicious!
Great place to get to know the style, pace and food of the Atherton Tablelands. Stand in line. Ogle the pastries. Sit at eclectic table inside or out under the trees. And a darling gift shop next door where the proprietor points out beautifully-crafted items made by her brother. "He loves his timber," she said.
