We stopped here on our way to California and enjoyed such a delicious meal that we decided to stop again on our way back. Both times, the food was exactly as we ordered and served hot. Danielle was our server during our first visit, and she did an excellent job checking in with us to ensure we had everything we needed and that our orders were correct. On our return trip, Brooklyn was our server, and she handled every... View all feedback.
What Armando D doesn't like about Cracker Barrel Old Country Store:
Service was awesome. Display of retail goods with Xmas was amazing. Food unfortunately was not too good. Breakfast orders were ok. Fried chicken orders were tasting like they were cooked in old oil. Bad taste on the crust...inside was ok. Pork chops were dry and bland taste. The Cole slaw was delicious and the Mac and cheese was delicious. When the sides taste better than the main dish....not good! One odd thing also... View all feedback.
I'll preface this by saying, I love Cracker Barrel and this location gave great service delicious food that I've come to expect. This is a convenient location off the freeway and was greeted by the familiar outdoor porch area and rocking chairs. Inside we were quickly seated and greeted. As usual everything looked good so opted for the 3 item sampler platter of meatloaf, fried chicken chicken and dumplings with a side of broccoli and mashed potatoes. Delicious as usual and satisfied my comfort food craving. The biscuits and corn bread are also an added bonus to the meal. Besides the food I always enjoy looking at the store items especially this time of year where they have Halloween and holiday stuff. I wish they would open locations in Southern California, but on the flip side it is a special treat to eat here since it's not something I can get everyday.

When the sides taste better than the main dish....not good! One odd thing also happened...my 65 year old sister in law ordered a mimosa and was carded! Since she forgot her Id at home she was not allowed to order the drink! We thought she was joking with us but she refused to take her order! We decided not to make a big deal out of it, since she was very nice and not her policy. Probably won't come here again!
Got here at 8:30 on a Friday. Place was 3/4 full when we came in. I had seen a Yelpers post from 1 months ago of a ham steak eggs breakfast. Looked good so ordered the same. Even showed the photo to server. But what I got wasn't the same. Very small cut of ham see photo), hask browns were more like rice pilaf casserole. No napkins and no refill on coffee till we waved server over. This place is having issues. Seriously.
Good food. Good portions. Friendly staff. The best part is the front lounge with all the fun shopping! We had a large party and they were able to accommodate us with no hesitation.
I've eaten at others Cracker Barrel's but this is the only one I wouldn't return too. Everything tastes processed. The chicken pot pie isn't cooked with chicken in it. It's added after the fact so when you eat it; the chicken is dried out in a spoonful of hot liquid. So you get a soggy and tough bite. The service is great and the ambience is second to none.
