Ayers Wok
3.1 / 5 (230 reviews)

Description

Nestled in the heart of Central Australia, Ayers Wok offers a mixed dining experience that reflects the challenges of isolation. While some guests celebrate its affordable options and accommodating service, particularly for vegetarian and vegan patrons, others lament the quality of the food, likening it to frozen and flavorless meals. The Pad Thai has drawn both praise and scorn, embodying the divisive opinions on the menu. Though a few diners find hidden gems among the offerings, the inconsistent food quality raises concerns about longevity, leaving visitors to weigh convenience against culinary expectations. Proceed with caution!.

72.00 for what was nothing but frozen veggies and tasteless meal. Anyone who says if you want authentic Asian food shouldn’t be eating in Uluṟu is kidding themselves. If I pay for a meal I expect what I pay for nothing more nothing less. This food was terrible, it had absolutely no taste whatsoever, not even a pinch of salt, it was the most lifeless Asian meal I’ve ever tasted. Ayer’s Wok should be ashamed of themselves for putting out meals that are certainly not worth the TOP they are charging!! Do yourself a favour and don’t eat here!! As a matter of fact the poor quality of food served here is common knowledge when you speak to the other shops in the area!! None of the locals eat this rubbish!!

I read the reviews too late too! Unfortunately! Incredibly bad food and for these prices too! A restaurant that delivers food of this quality would not survive or exist for long in a place that is not so touristy or in a place that is not so isolated!

Spectacularly delicious meals!!!! The vegetables spring rolls were made at the moment so they were hot (loved it! crunchy and fresh!!! My hubs and I were so hungry that we decided to eat our ordered meals around the town centre, it has plenty tables surrounded by beautiful trees and with local artists musicians songs playing in the background. I have to say that my vegetables tofu fried rice was one of the best I have eaten! As I like it, perfect rice al dente, with crunchy veggies, crunchy tofu, the flavours well mixed!!! And hubs had beef noodles very yummy. We were so hungry because the smell of the food was so provocative that we forgot to take pictures but honestly it is worth to order, it won't disappoint you! And I have to say, with that incredible hot kitchen area and seeing the Chef wearing his spotless white garment made us eat our meals with more confidence Vegetarian options: Plenty delicious options Dietary restrictions: Anything Kid-friendliness: Definitely yes, kids will love ut Wheelchair accessibility: Everywhere

Don’t believe all the negative reviews. This place met our expectations, especially considering that it is located in the middle of nowhere! Ayers wok fried rice was good, but our favorite was the vegetarian Thai green curry. Just the right amount of spice and excellent flavor! Ordered around 5:30pm and it took 35 minutes to get our food. No big deal because they give you a beeper. We had plenty of time to go grocery shopping first and then walk around a bit. The asian chef was working his tail off, trying to keep up with all of the orders. Thanks team for a great experience!
