A must stop at this quaint town that feels like time has not passed since the 1970?s. Excellent home feels, they know their locals by first name basis. Breakfast and lunch items served all day! Restaurant open early in the morning too. Apparently the diner is being ran by new management, and from what we experienced, we loved it. Their drip coffee is superb, and it?s organic with free refills. I didn?t feel the need... View all feedback.
What Oki Jack doesn't like about Diner 62:
I decided to try their version of fish tacos. The breaded fish they used was quite different from what I expected and didn't quite suit my taste. I found the toppings more enjoyable than the fish itself. I thought the pineapple pieces could have been smaller so I could enjoy them in one bite with the fish. On the other hand, my dining companion liked the sweet potato fries, but she found her burger to be a bit dry.... View all feedback.
We visited near joshua tree and stayed for lunch at 11:30 o'clock, but they served only breakfast and no lunch until 1:00 o'clock. that was dissatisfied because the smoker was torn outside and smelled so good! we have gone, but said we are coming back to dinner and I am glad we have done it! at our visit they have just recently reopened so that the device was still under any construction, but there was still much seat on the picnic tables with a large atmosphere. the open table and the community seats provide a great atmosphere. the staff is super nice, has made great suggestions to menu points and eating came out quickly. there was a light mixup on my order, but they got fast. carefully cared for him and worried about our eating. oh, food. yes, this is probably the reason why you read this. we ordered the chicken legs with potato salad and the reserve ribs (full! and maissalat. the chicken legs were not boned and were cut into pieces. they had a big smoke taste, and still very humid and delicate. the rungs in the full-bay version were a huge part. they had a great taste and an amazing in the house made BBQ sauce (which they can buy a bottle. we did. I think they smoke them a bit too long when the endings were burned a bit and the flesh fell completely from the bones. I like it that I bo6te a bit more to them, but others prefer the fall of the bone method. Do not understand me wrong, they were still very good and some of the best tasting I had in a long time, just left something in the smoker too long (I think after). overall I would give this place 5 stars everywhere. eating, the atmosphere and the personal are all excellent. when they go through, they make a stop when they are a native, they support these young.
The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere and the buckwheat pancakes are delicious, beautifully topped with blueberries! The staff is attentive and the service is quick!
Beautiful and fantastic place to enjoy good food and good time with all the workers, they love this place!
A must have been in this picturesque city that feels like the time since the 1970s has not passed. excellent home feels, they know their natives with first name basic. breakfast and lunch served all day! the restaurant is also open early in the morning. Apparently the diner is led by new management, and from what we have experienced, we loved him. her drip coffee is excellent, and it is organic with free refills. I had not the need to add cremer. I have stuffed her eggs with speck and toast. if they don't want her to be baked dead, they'll let her know. accepted credit cards over $10. excellent cleanliness and diner decoration. they sit on the bar or in the stands. they have a large event room, easy for 40 people.
I absolutely loved this restaurant! The atmosphere and the staff were fantastic! I'm so glad we discovered it while driving to Joshua Tree National Park. It's a must-visit for anyone. I ordered the '57 Chevy Bel-Air burger, and it was amazing! My husband had the Route 62 burger, and he enjoyed it just as much! I have nothing but positive things to say about our experience!
