The restaurant's commitment to accommodating vegans is evident, though there are noted gaps, such as the absence of vegan cheese and potential misconceptions around certain dishes. It would be 5 stars but today was a sad sight. Overall, Sidetracks is awesome! Great service and food. I ordered via Caviar and got the black bean tacos. It says it comes with rice, beans, sour cream, and salsa. The American slices of cheese that were barely melted is just tacky. I had to warm the tacos up in my oven, which helped but still. And there was barely any black bean burger. Seriously disappointed for the FIRST time with this restaurant.
We've been in Ypsi going on three years and this past Easter weekend was our first time going into sidetracks. We have no idea why we are so late to the party... everything was wonderful and we will definitely go back. The menu was vast, the service was great overall , our experience was so enjoyable that this will be our new Watering Hole.
Ice cold beer and so many craft draft ..burgers are so good also..never had a bad meal here
I have visited this restaurant a few times. They offer several menu items that can be prepared vegan, and they are delicious and satisfying! My go-to dish is the black bean burger tacos without cheese or sour cream.
Whenever my father-in-law comes to visit, he always makes sure we dine at this restaurant. He eats everything, but I am vegan and my wife is vegetarian, and we all leave satisfied. The tempeh dishes are amazing, whether in a salad or a burger, and they also offer the Impossible Burger as an option. My wife particularly enjoys the vegetarian tempeh Philly so much that she regrets not ordering it every time she tries something else.
