Was Anonym at Scarsella's a mag?
I've been a customer for about a year now, and I finally tried Scarsella's last week. I absolutely loved it! The atmosphere, food, and staff were all fantastic. Our waitress was really nice and a bit nervous, which just made her even sweeter. The bread was fresh and abundant. I ordered the manicotti, and it was delicious! I plan to take my girlfriend there for Valentine's Day today. Thank you, Scarsella's! View all feedback.

What Jen Isler dislikes about Scarsella's:
The food was gross. I’m sorry. Got chicken parm that was nothing but thick breading. The sauce leaves a nasty taste you can’t get out of mouth. The crab cakes were all bread. . It’s ok if you like breading and tomato paste. The celing tiles are water damaged. The food was not worth the price. Only nice thing I can say was server was good although we waited in a dead restaurant for a long time. Very outdated View all feedback.

I usually don't like to leave bad reviews for places but when the shoe fits....I Stopped in on my lunch break to try a new place. They weren't too busy but it was very small and had too many tables in such a small space. I ordered a beverage and a fish sandwich and added cheese. The sandwich does not come with fries or chips. My bill for a drink and a sandwich was $15 and some change! They have a menu that's priced like we're in New York and it's Youngstown. I did receive 2 slices of bread as an appetizer that came in an unlined plastic basket?? When I went to check it seemed as if the staff were all oblivious to any customer activity. I waited at the host stand for over 4 mins while I watched the younger girl working there play on her phone and the other guy just rambling away at the kitchen staff.

My favorite restaurant of all time. Part of it's sentimental, as I've eaten here for my entire life, but the food is tough to beat. The world, at least where I interact with it, is sorely lacking these types of family owned restaurants as we make way for more chain shops, each one more mediocre than the last. But I digress. Go here, get the homemade cavatelli and enjoy!

Very fresh homemade pasta that’s been severing the Youngstown area for many years. The sauce is very good.. a hidden gem that has withstood the test of time. Very reasonable prices..

We discovered this restaurant while traveling, and it turned out to be the highlight of our evening. The atmosphere felt very familial, with different groups celebrating special events. Each group seemed to be having a great time and enjoying their meals. The staff was attentive yet unobtrusive, allowing us to enjoy our food and conversations. It's evident that this is an excellent venue for hosting events.
