I was looking forward to trying out this restaurant, but the first time we had to wait too long and the second time they didn't have the dish I wanted. I wasn't impressed with what I ended up ordering. I will give it another try and provide an update.
Thursday afternoon lunch out on a dreary day. We had appetizers and beer, along with the chicken strips. Attentive staff, and good food. Worth the drive, and we'll be back.
I have always enjoyed dining at the Magic Tree, even before I became vegan. Although I now live out of town, I recently visited with my family and was pleased to see that they cater to everyone. The vegan options we tried were the Gyro salad, which was excellent, and the perogies, which were a bit heavy and lacking in greens on top (a smaller portion with a side salad would have been better). Unfortunately, the macaroni and cheese was not up to par as it wasn't even made with macaroni noodles. Despite the slightly higher prices, the portions were generous. Overall, I would happily dine here again.
I wouldn't have expected this restaurant to have vegan options, but they had four clearly labeled choices on the menu and were accommodating with modifications. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre. The vegan burger was disappointing and the vegan mac 'n ' cheese had an odd sweetness to it. The restaurant was crowded and noisy on a Saturday night, and it took a while to receive our food. This place is a good option if you're dining with meat-eaters or finicky eaters.
My wife and I were in town and found this restaurant. It’s a nice sit down bar with plenty of tables outside of the bar area. Lots of beers and cocktails, 4 vegan menu items (impossible burger, broccoli pierogi, lettuce cups, and mushroom burger). We would definitely recommend the mushroom burger and lettuce cups that we had. They also had tons of sides including vegan Mac n cheese, edamame, and asparagus.
