Ginny's Place - Yorktown

This restaurant offers a variety of American dishes with a Southern twist, served in a delightful buffet style. While their selection may not be enormous, it's actually a plus. Each dish is consistently freshly prepared in small batches and absolutely delicious. The prices are quite reasonable, and the staff is very friendly. Best of all, I've never left feeling any heartburn!

If you're in the mood for Southern cooking, this place is fantastic. It's a cozy and welcoming spot with a limited but delicious selection of classic Southern dishes, including fried chicken, flounder, catfish, pulled pork, popcorn shrimp, potatoes, various gravies, collard greens, cornbread, beans, and other Southern vegetables, along with a salad bar, rolls, and hushpuppies. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the prices are excellent for everything on the menu, including their takeout specials.

Ginny's offers delicious food! I sampled everything on the buffet and enjoyed it all. The dishes were well-prepared, though mildly seasoned. The desserts were a standout for me. Though everything was quite simple, it was very appealing! I was pleased with all my choices, so I highly recommend it and would definitely return.

Comfort food-fried chicken, catfish and more. Salad bar, southern-style side dishes such as collar, pint beans and Mac and cheese. Clean, simple dining room. Friendly and attentive staff. Parking can be difficult to lunch, as the lot is a little small. Location is located near the NN/York County border.

This place had been recommended to me, so I looked it up and thought I'd give it a try. It was GREAT! The food was true comfort food and wonderfully made. I can be picky and critical of food. But I liked everything that I tried. For example, oftentimes, various salads have either too much pepper or onions. I tried a little of all of their 4 salads. Macaroni Salad, potato salad, Cole slaw, and some other salad. ALL of them were perfect! The fried foods were great and not too greasy. The employees are all friendly and real. I don't get near that area often, but will go there again when I can!
