Went for dinner on a Sunday evening at the restaurant ..... nothing fancy, tables and chairs in a large open room. Ordered a large order of lemon chicken, beef chow mein and fried rice. The portion of lemon chicken was generous and had plenty of...thick pieces of breaded chicken in a very tasty lemon sauce. The beef in the chow mein was tender and the vegetables plentiful. What Liv Hald doesn't like about Guang Zhou Restaurant:
This use to be my favorite Chinese restaurant in Yorkton. Just a hole in the wall, but really good food. Unfortunately the quality of the food has deteriorated to the point that the average person could duplicate the food by going to the super market, buying a breaded meat, reheat it and poor some store bought sweet 'n' sour sauce on it. I've been going here for years and the Chinese food has been great. It has been great tasting and a good variety. The restaurant is in need of updating and isn't much too look at either. I just have to say that of late the food has become very salty which I don't care for. Nice staff good people.
We did a large take out order from here and picked it up ourselves. We were provided a time to pick it up and I went a little early. I had to wait and it was apparently ready right on the time they gave us. The food was good and there were some unique dishes. Nothing really stood out to me as exceptional. We would try another place next time.
We ordered takeout as we often do from Ghang Zhou. It was packaged well and included ample soy sauce and plum sauce. The food was hot and fresh and very flavourful. I have had better, but not in Yorkton.
Clean restaurant with good fresh tasting food. Staff is always friendly and food is served in reasonable amount of time. I would recommend restaurant to anyonw
