Swiss Chalet Rotisserie & Grill - York

Hi everyone. Had dinner here on Thursday night, Great burger but cold fries took a long time to get hot fries. Pop machine had a malfunction and Root Beer sprayed all over my jacket and pants. My first time visiting this location. Friendly helpful...staff.

I have spoken to both the franchise owner we and the GM of the area for Cara food regarding my visit. Neither provided a satisfactory response. I was waiting in line to order when I seen the cashier step away from the cash, walk over...to the garbage, pick up the dirty trays and bring them back to the cash and continue taking orders. These trays were not cleaned, wiped or anything. There was a tray liner placed on the dirty trays and given right back out to the new customers. I asked to speak to the manager and actually got the franchise owner. I explained how disgusting that was. She agreed and offered to replace my food. I asked what about the people I. From t of me and the people behind me that also got dirty trays. She said that she doesn't know who they are. I said you could go by the number on the receipt and/or the time in the orders. Just walk around and deal with, it's food safety, it's worth it. She of course didn't think so. She wasn't willing to risk losing money. Even though she knew it was wrong. I left the counter area and let her know how wrong it was. She came back to find me about mins later with gift certificates to try and bribe me.i said to use them.on replacing the others peoples food. She again said she wouldn't. I spoke to the GM of the area who said they agreed it was handled poor but nothing could be done now. I wouldn't advise to eat there, it's disgusting.

I frequent this location because it's close. They are very fast and the toppings and salads are always fresh. Also a Swiss Chalet take-out counter that is quick as well. I like that I can walk in and out with my food in about every time. They will also put as many toppings as you like, as pictured I love hot peppers.

I usually get takeout but I have eaten inside close to 10 times. The take-out counter is very very fast, i've ordered ribs and they were ready in 5 minutes.Chicken is always tasty as is the sauce. Salads are good too, try the poutine with chalet sauce it's amazing. Chicken club wrap is a good lunch deal at 10$ for take-out with a pop.

Yes, I am talking about Swiss Chalet! From the moment we stepped into Swiss Chalet, we were greeted by the friendly staff including the Manager. Our hostess showed us to our table and mentioned that Elza would be with us shortly. Elza immediately arrived and we were served what we ordered. Elza was most attentive throughout the entire meal. I really enjoyed the food. I ordered dessert- ice cream with hot apple pie it was most yummy! Great presentation with the desserts! I will definitely come back to this location (Woodbine Ave and Denison St. Markham).
