I returned here after a few years and was pleasantly reminded of the great variety of dim sum dishes offered. Customers are given a menu card upon which selections are checked on a list of dishes. It is a little more difficult to identify the items using a written description, compared to selecting the items from a dim sum cart. However, if you have some favorites in mind, you are much more assured of getting the item... View all feedback.

This establishment has been around so it has survived, but it has changed ownership and has been re-faced so to speak. It's starting to look a little dowdy again. The vegetables were nice and crunchy, and the seafood was tasty. The steamed fish was very well done. It was grouper-like. The servers seemed very unhappy and not very customer-focused, and that may be the reason why I am having a difficult time being very enthusiastic about this restaurant!
Four of us went to this restaurant for lunch on a Saturday. The restaurant was busy but because of it's size, it was not crowded. The decor is bright and cheerful with tablecloths on all the tables to help keep down the noise. Food was brought quickly and it was all hot and delicious. The staff were all pleasant and attentive.
Spring Villa was a let down. I heard that this place had good dim sum, but it was a far cry from that. The only thing that compensates for this is that if you place your order before 11am on the weekdays, the medium and large dishes are the same price as the small dishes. Weekend waits are really not worth it.
Went here for New Year's Eve dinner with my family based on their reputation for good dim sum. I had been here for dinner once before and had a good experience. Their 5 lb lobster set dinner was of good value and great taste. This time we ordered the dinner for 6 for $168. Let me tell you the portion sizes were so small, we had to order an additional fried rice. We only had 4 adults and one child! None of us have a particularly large appetite. Their set dish portions were so small that we got 5 person worth of food for every dish. Super skimpy on the portion size when it should have been based on 6 people. There wasn't even enough dessert goji berry jellies at the end! No effort to rectify portions sizes once we mentioned we were onto their money saving ways. Just apologies and explanations of that's just how it is. Overall pace of the food was slow too. WOULD NOT GO BACK
We went with our siblings and their children for dinner at Spring Villa Chinese Cuisine for 10 of us in total. This Markham restaurant has been around for a long time (I think at least 20 years) and has been renovated over the years, so the decor is quite nice and elegant. We have previously eaten there multiple times, but it seems to have gone downhill in terms of price and quality. They have set dinners for groups and our server pushed us to order that ... when we said we were ordering a la carte from the menu, she tried to sell us on ordering the 5lb lobster ... all for their own sake of highest price and highest margin.Regardless, we still ordered a la carte and the dishes started arriving in non-ideal order and were not of generous portions, not good presentation and of mediocre taste. The 2 orders of soup (just enough for 10 servings) were disappointing and cost $56. The crispy fried chicken (whole) was small and dry, with no customary shrimp crackers. The baby bok choy tasted like it was partially boiled and flavourless. The yeung chow fried rice was dry and lacked the standard ingredients.$300 is expensive for a Chinese dinner for 10 people (1 being a small child). This would have been fine with us if the food and service matched the price, but they were not.
